You can still use ear buds with the Prodigy. There's a jack to plug it into towards the bottom of the meter.

Get the prodigy meter from amazon.
Sadly it doesn't have the ear phone it used to have years ago.
Easy to use, put in a strip stick finger and it will read the numbers to you out loud.
