Nothing to say sorry about. Being blind isn't a sad thing; it's just a
thing. As someone who used to be fully sighted and am now totally blind, the
only real impact blindness has had on my life are the negative societal
perceptions that want to say I'm not capable or equal; that insist being
blind is limiting and debilitating, causing society to refuse to consider
accessibility. As long as we consider being blind, or disabled in general,
as "sad," we can't expect to be treated as equals, making inclusion and
accessibility a real thing.

Sorry you folks went blind, we have a friend here in town who is blind in
one eye from something happening to him for surgery.
He woke up and found he was blind.
He isn't diabetic he is the opposite. He needs the sugar.
He had cataract surgery to go blind in one eye.
