[Diabetes-Talk] Can't believe what almost happened this morning.

Half jokingly, I thought about getting stickers made up that I could put on my pods which say, you touch, I die. I admit to having given that speech to my dog when she wonders if it's a cool play toy. <grin> Although truthfully, she's way more interested in the little Dexcom sensor.
Ah life in the high tech diabetes world!

Veronica, since yours has Insulin, I think I would have done that speech. For me it just meant I had to rely on finger sticks in a situation where because I was out so much having the sensor would have been worlds easier. Still, next time I might take a lesson from you. Enough said. Glad neither of us was harmed.

Jeanette, I'm with you here. I think that if that woman had managed to dislodge my pod, I would have file a police report, just to get her attention. Although the noise I made when I first felt her actions was pretty impressive because it was super important to stop her. So to make my point, I did launch into my touch that and I die speech. But honestly, in this day and age, how is it that people don't get you just don't touch anyone without permission? Okay, it's because some people don't see us as adults and children don't have boundary rights. <evil snark.>
But since no physical damage was done, as I continued on, just the idea was so stunning that it really did make me laugh.

When I was much younger I actually did that when someone ran over my cane and then got out of her car. But sometimes it is not worth the aggravation, and we all need to make choices at the time. I was close to the end of use, so I let it go.

I believe I’d have given that person a piece of my mind on that one. I might have suggested they pay me for an additional sensor.
