Medicare doesn't allow me to test as often as my doctor wants me to. We always jump through hoops and are always denied. Frankly, I've given up. I will never win this fight unless I actually have to go on Insulin.

The pharmacy provides you with as many strips as your doctor prescribes, not necessarily based on how often you want to test. If your doctor agrees you should test 4 times a day, they they will write a script for that many sticks in a month. If it's more than that, the script will be for more. I on average test 6 to 8 times a day, so my doctor has always written scripts for testing 8 times a day, but usually adds in another couple of sticks, so the script is actually for 10 or 12 in case of mistakes. In 33 years of being diabetic, I've never ran out of strips; and again, I test 6 to 8 times a day; it was 15 times a day with both my pregnancies. If you think you need to test more, and want to add in a couple of other test for padding, you should ask your doctor. The pharmacy will only provide what the script says.

Amazon you can choose how many you want to pay for, your insurance decides you get fifty and that is it until next time.
That is what I experienced here in town.
I also would like to get the machine that has the ear phones on it.
The jack that is.
Glad it is getting easier for you to put blood on the strip.
This morning was tough for me, even though I had more blood than I wanted to give loll.
Here it is in the middle of the night, and I am saying out loud, What is your problem, get on the strip.
It finally happened.
Happens to all of us.
