[Diabetes-Talk] circle

Dar,

It's not entirely your fault. When you moved, your GP should have referred
you to an endo (diabetic doctor). To me, unless you live in such a rural
area no endos work and you would have to travel hours, it should be a given
that a diabetic, regardless if type 1 or 2, a good GP would insist you see
an endo for your diabetes.

However, little FYI, a GP or any doctor can prescribe diabetes medication
and devices, so it shouldn't be shocking to your doctor that you want a
Dexcom or anything else and are asking for him to prescribe it or assist in
getting it. YYes, you should see an endo for diabetic care, but your GP can
also help you in getting a Dexcom or anything else.

OK that is good to know.
I didn't know they were out there.
When I first came to Montana from Colorado, I was having problems
understanding all what I needed to do.
My medical doctor said he couldn't help me any more.
I asked Jim my husband to send me back to Denver, because I felt I was
treated better than here in Montana.
My doctor was shocked I would put in a request like that.
So he decided to help me out, because he also is a diabetic.
Brakeing down communication I was able to understand what he was asking me
to do.
As you know I need simple to understand what is happening.
Then when I get it I can run like the rest of you do.
I also have learned lots from this list.
Thanks for sharing.
