[Diabetes-Talk] beginner questions on constant glucose monitoring systems.

We have enough connections with Dexcom that I very much doubt that any app
update will break accessibility. What can happen is that a phone IOS update
will come out and the app isn't ready yet, for anyone, not just us. So I
keep my phone updates set to manual so it asks me. Dexcom has a web page
where you can go and see the most recent IOS update it supports. If you do
upgrade your phone and get a little ahead of the Dexcom, it will just
periodically toss you a warning that it hasn't been fully tested with the
current IOS. But in fact, their most recent update of the Clarity app made
it even more accessible.
As for the sensors, most definitely the G6 is much easier to insert and I
don't wrinkle the tape either. My only real complaint is that on day 10 when
the sensor expires, I wish they'd build in a grace period. It's not like
we're always available at exactly the same hour to replace the sensor. I
think it's stupid programming.
But I wouldn't be without it now, for sure.

I just started using Dexcom back in December, and since then, there have
been at least 2 iPhone updates, and no issues with Dexcom, grin.

Maybe these systems are still too new for anyone to know this answer, but
does anyone have concerns of accessibility breaking in an update?

Seeing how everything relies on the iPhone app working, an app update that
isn't accessible would suck, to say the least. lol
