[Diabetes-Talk] cost

Hi,
The Dexcom 6 sensors are good for only 10-days. The transmitters only last
30-days. You do not need to use the receiver if you download the app to your
smart-phone. I have doubts that Walgreens covers these but worthy of your
checking this a few times. Express Scripts covers Dexcom and they deliver.
Remember, this is a Medicare part B product and you will pay 20% of the
cost. I believe your cost every 90-days may be more than $100 for your
90-day supply. Remember to order your over-lay patches when you order your
supplies. These are of no charge or free and they do help the dexcom stay in
place through showers for example.
Best of luck,
Rick

Do you know for a fact that Walgreens will supply Dexcom? With the G6, a
sensor lasts 14 days, I believe. With the G5 it only lasts 7 days. I would
contact Walgreens and specifically ask if it will supply Dexcom sensors for
you. You also need the transmittors. So, you use a sensor which lasts 14
days, the transmitter which attaches to the sensor and lasts 3 months, and
the receiver, which looks like an iPhone that reads glucose output and lasts
a year. But again, the receiver is completely inaccessible for blind people.

out of cost for the dex com g six for me not the machine with it is
$400 the machine is $295.
You get three cencers in a kit.
Is this so, and I will have to see if my insurance will cover some of this.
I sure couldn't pay $400 every month, if a cencer lasts a week.
How did you get around that.
Wall greens said that I should get wallmart to get this since I get all of
my medicines over there.
Just some thoughts.
