Some Medicare kits used to include an inaccessible meter and strips. That's
not the case for me now, so don't know if that's what's going on here. Other
than that, it's just the free overpatches.
And Dar, if you are not willing to read some to learn, you aren't going to
be able to learn the techniques for using and managing the Dexcom. The web
site has videos where you could hear the sounds of someone using it. We are
not going to be able to completely walk you through the steps here on this
list.
If you don't have a doctor who can properly explain to you what it is and
isn't, you will face some real challenges once you get it.
You'll need to set your target ranges and your alarms if you need them.
You'll need to come up with a system that works for you, getting the
transmitter serial numbers and the sensor codes. You will need to be able to
troubleshoot any Bluetooth problems that may come up, learn how to navigate
the app, and of course, inserting sensors and transmitters. I know I have my
tricks for orienting myself when putting on the overpatches and you'll need
to find yours. The Dexcom G6 is a wonderful device but it does take some
learning and sometimes, a bit of fussing and patience.
Please make that commitment to do the learning so you have a better
experience with it.
Veronica

Dar,

What strips? There are no strips for Dexcom.

I am not always for articls.
The blind experience many things differently.
Take it as a compliment.
That is how I mean it.
I did speak to the company yesterday when I asked them if it would be better
to buy everything from them, they said no, it would be better to get it from
the store.
They will send me the free strips when I call and ask for them.
I was to get an email from them but it didn't happen.
That is fine.
All wil work out.
