This is very interesting.those  who are using pumps need to start trying  it out when its available and letting us pen users know how all this works.

I agree with you, but since accessible pumps are not on the horizon, we will need something for us pump users once our warranty is up. This iPen sounds similar to a pump and may be an option for those of us wanting to stay on a pump but having no other options available in terms of actual pumps. Like a pump, it seems like it has similar control with insulin release, which is what I hate to give up with my pump. But for injecting in public, like I said, I don't care if people see me do it. But I also breastfed in public, so... grin.

Firstly, Veronica, I did not get the email you mentioned from Dexcom.

Secondly, I am really skiddish about something like this as somehow.
if I understand it correctly, I wouldn't bother to make more unnecessary steps for myself.  I wouldn't have any reason to use all that other stuff.  I, too simply inject wherever I am and wouldn't think of trying to find the nearest germy bathroom to give myself a shot???  Not on your life.  No matter what, I always come equipped with my extra pens, needles and proper oral meds in the "weapon."  I guess it's a matter of preference.  As I see it, this would be a poor excuse for what we're aiming for in the first place--a totally accessible pump...  Unfortunately, as all these claims have been in the past--not gonna happen any time soon.  I am only speaking for myself when I say this.  But, I would prefer not to have to mess with these other gadgets in the meantime.
