[Diabetes-Talk] Using insulin pens in public.

Hi everyone.
Okay, get ready to laugh. Umm, I'm still struggling with this one. I've had
a couple of occasions where I had to use a backup pen when a pod messed up.
I keep thinking about all of the comments about lifting up your top and just
injecting. So I tried. Well, ummm, oh brother! I lift up my top and all I
find are my pants. Most of the good grabbable tissue for me is down lower,
so when I tried to do it, I really felt like I half undressed, getting my
pants kind of out of the way and trying to hold my top up and oh yeah, work
the stupid pen. I tell you, I think I truly earned the clumsy comedy award
for 2019. Hard to imagine doing that at every meal and out in public. I
think I need a touchy feely model or something. <laughing! I did find a few
spots, kind of over my ribs above my waist. It wasn't very comfortable
though, when I injected. Man, I think I'm going to have to be more creative
to use a pen than my pump. <laughing!>
Anyway, I really appreciate this thread and look forward to further
enlightenment. Thanks a bunch.
