[Diabetes-Talk] Trulicity side effect

Hi all:
Just checking in to say hi and ask a question.
A few months back my endo put me on Trulicity which with insulin and a major change in diet is doing wonders for my blood sugars. I’m not having any of the stomach upset side effects many people do with trulicity, but I am struggling with the appetite suppressing portion of the medication. It’s suppressing my appetite to the point where I get physically hungry, but food does not taste good to me any more. Before where I loved planning meals— shopping for the ingredients, preparing them, and cooking them was fun and interesting to me, now I could care less. Any thing to do with food or eating is not interesting to me anymore and it affects what I eat and how much. My body will be physically hungry, for example, but I just can’t convince myself eating is a good idea and nothing tastes good. There is no desire for food and I only eat when my body yells for food. My doctor wants me to go up to the next level of trulicity, so I can decrease my insulin, which I am OK with, but has any one had any experience with an appetite suppressant and how to deal with it?
Thanks!
Amber
