I am happy for you, but I am surprise that at this point why they are not sending you the Dexcom g6. You might be surprise if you get the g6 instead of the g5.
I was informed by my distributor that when I needed to order the transmitter the next time I would be upgraded to the G6. I am waiting for it to be delivered today[according to the shipping notification].
So definitely go thru the training from your doctor's office. They had set me up with a trainer from Dexcom and believe me it is worth the time to get to the doctor's office and get the training from a Dexcom trainer. The trainer is there for you to help, answer questions and they are an email or phone call away.
The help line is good, but some of them just don't get that you can do this without sight. Believe me after using it for a while you will be able to revert back to a place without reading the face. The IPhone is easy to use with the Dexcom.
My only complaint is that lady in the IPhone gets a bit demanding when she says, enter blood sugar level now! Well I guess with the G6 she won't be demanding that any more from me. I go to bed every night with my IPhone so I don't miss any of those warnings, "low blood sugar level", high blood sugar level, and the little tu it plays when blood sugars are dropping fast. The very best is that it starts nagging you when your blood sugar hits 80 and it announces you have a low blood sugar. That gives you time to get out of bed and do something about it.
