Also, if, for instance, the amount of insulin you take doesn't bring your BG
down, you'll get another alarm in 30 minutes. You can change how often it
repeats in the app settings. Sometimes it drives me crazy if I'm hanging
around right at that edge. So if I set a high alarm for 200 and it bounces
around from 199, which shuts off the alarm, then back to 201, alarm checks
in, and back and forth a couple of times, that will make it yell at me
again. If that's what's going on, you're kind of stuck with it till the
blood sugar really drops.
And sometimes it's just frustrating how long it takes insulin to take affect
in our bodies. Hang in there.

Hi, Go into the program, if on your phone, it will give you the warning and
tell you to double-tap or click ok, do this and the alrams will stop. The
Dexcom is about 5-minutes behind your actual glucose reading. Therefore,
untill the insulin taken brings you down, you may be high, whatever this is
for you, for the next hour or more. Don't just sit and wait, do some
exercise to help bring this down. Watch the Dexcom every 15-30 minutes to
monitor, this will be a good time to learn the time it takes.

How long does it take for dex com to register insulin dose? High alert keeps
going off.
