Yep, completely agree. The economy is a very valid argument, especially with
our current economic structure, but public health should come first.
Attempting to reopen in the next couple of weeks seems way to soon. And
according to the real experts and based on past cases, we can expect another
wave or 2 before a vaccination is available. This is a highly contagious,
potentially deadly virus. Eighty percent of people who contract it will
survive and not even likely have to be hospitalized. But 20% will experience
extreme symptoms and potentially die. Of this 20%, 50% are under the age of
50 and have no underlying health conditions. Experts say it's not worth the
risk of exposure, because no one knows what percentage they will end up in.
There's no guarantee you will have mild symptoms. Anyway, sorry for the
rant; just saying I agree.
