Hello:
In answer to your questions, 1. It's easier to work with the strip and meter using my left hand than the right.
2. I test once a day.
3. I've tried to prick the side of my finger but have shaky hands which makes it difficult for me to position the lancing device to get the blood out.

Hello,
Are you rotating pricking your finger between left and right hands?
Have you tried drawing blood from the side of your finger?
How often are you testing or having to test according to your doctor?
Answer these questions and members of this group can better help answer your question.

Hello:
I was diagnosed as non-insulin dependent type 2 a few months ago. Since I don't use insulin, I'm required to test my blood sugar with finger pricks daily. I've discovered that my fingertips are developing small calluses which makes it more difficult to get blood out of my fingers on to the test strip. Any ideas of how to remedy this problem? Thanks in advance.
