Hello,
The innpen is similar to a normal insulin pen. It is injected into the body via a needle just like normal pens. It just happens to have some smarts to help with figuring out insulin dosages. The insulin comes in little cartridges that you place in the pen. From what I have read, Humalog and one other type of insulin is available for use with it right now.
