Hey Greg,

The tape backing that you pull off of the Dexcom sensor is in two pieces. Both pieces have little flaps that are easy to find with your fingers and pull off.

The Dexcom App on the watch is accessible and very easy to use. The only issues that I have with the app are you can’t clear alerts from the watch app and have them be dismissed on the phone application. So you will have to dismiss them on both devices. Aside from this one hick-up the apps are very useable by the visually impaired with both magnification/Zoom and Voiceover.

One of the main reasons I am switching is that with the dexcom I won't have to scan the sensor. It just shows up on the app. I hope the apple watch app is usable. It would be nice to just use my watch to see what my sugar is.

The phone app works great, so you should not have any issues with it. I found it very interesting that it has poor ratings in the App Store. I am not sure why that is. The most challenging part for the blind is reading The sensor code and transmitter serial number. Veronica from this list just recently posted her “How to” email that explains the best way to read both of these using the Seeing AI app.

First where do the sensors go? My libra sensors go on the back of my arms. Also how are the iOS apps? I downloaded them from the store but they have terrible ratings.
