[Diabetes-Talk] Getting a Dexcom G6 soon

I do not understand  scanning the sensor? The G5 you did not need to  insert a sensor code, but you do on the G6, along with the  transmitter every 3 months.
I have yet to use the camera, and have sighted assistance w/all the various sensor numbers at hand, but I know I need to take the time to practice using my iPhone camera, as to not need assistance.
I love my watch and the Dexcom, but it would be great if I could  deal with alerts from it, perhaps in the near future.
But I use my watch all the time to check in on my numbers, fall rates etc. Your phone does have to be within range of the transmitter.

I am a bit nervous about putting these on. The libre sensors are really easy to put on and they stay on really well. One of the main reasons I am switching is that with the dexcom I won't have to scan the sensor. It just shows up on the app. I hope the apple watch app is usable. It would be nice to just use my watch to see what my sugar is.
