Hello,

I'm jumping into this discussion as I suggest that you check with the
pharmacy on its recommendation as to how long you should keep the insulin
out of refrigeration once you start using it. They will know according to
the manufacturers recommendation. Generally after a certain length of time
out of refrigeration it will lose its effectiveness.

I've always left my bottles of Humalog and now Novalog at room temperature
after their first use and have never had any problem with their remaining
effective. And I believe they are at room temperature for at least three
weeks.

Do you literally mean sitting out at room temp? Or do you mean once you open
a vial and start using it, but keep it in the fridge?
