[Diabetes-Talk] insulin question

I was told the same. One month out of the refrigerator, and only one week
in a pump if your reservoir last that long. Also, my ex-husband had to toss
his supply of insulin out when he put it too close to the freezer
compartment in a mini fridge and it crystalized. It really is temperature
sensitive. Just like Goldilocks--not too hot and not too cold!

I was always told that insulin could remain at room temperature for a month.
Getting it really hot was a different matter though.

I've always left my bottles of Humalog and now Novalog at room temperature
after their first use and have never had any problem with their remaining
effective. And I believe they are at room temperature for at least three
weeks.

Do you literally mean sitting out at room temp? Or do you mean once you open
a vial and start using it, but keep it in the fridge?

How long does Humolog stay out and still be good? I think 28 days.
