Hi Bridget,
If you purchase an Air Fryer any brand is good but, the important part is to make sure that there are pre-set buttons not a touch pad! That is the only way to make it truly accessible for the blind.
Warmly, Joy

Debbie,

What brand of air fryer do you use? I've had my eye on a couple, but I wonder which might be more accessible for blind users. I like the Ninja Foodie air fryer/pressure cooker. It has great reviews but have no idea how accessible it can be for a blind user.

Two years ago; before I became vegetarian, I tried the Keto diet to take off baby weight. I followed it religiously for 2 full months and only loss 8 pounds. But worse, my BGs were constantly high. I wasn't eating a single carb, but I struggled to keep my BGs under 200. No one could explain it, not even my endo.

Now I'm vegetarian/vegan and practice intermittent fasting. I only eat between noon and 8 p.m. I do low carb, gluten-free, and like I said, vegetarian and vegan as much as possible. For me, this has helped me control BGs much better.

Bridgit

Hello friends, welcome to the D.A..N. list. Do you have an air fryer? Both my husband and I are type 2 diabetics, and I very much enjoy this fryer for cooking things such as chicken, burgers, pork chops, just a few things for starters. We cook using oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, gi, and a lot of vegetables. We avoid potato, breads, and anything higher in carbohydrates.
I mostly try to follow the keto diet or Atkins.

Good Luck.

Hi, first of all thank you for the addition to the list I appreciate that. Does anyone out there have any good resources of where to find good diabetic recipes that are actually accessible? my wife and I are getting sick of carbs and calories and want something really healthy and decent to make for meals. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have type two diabetes, non-insulin-dependent atI have type two diabetes, non-insulin-dependent at the moment and trying to avoid being on insulin. My wife is almost to the point of pre-diabetes but not yet. If I can help her to not become diabetic that would be great. I wish I would have paid more attention to this year’s ago. Chad
