[Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom compatibility

The one down side for me with both Dexcom and my pump is that I have sensors
attached to me. Even if no one else sees them. My public crop-top and bikini
days are behind me, ha-ha, but still, it can be annoying to have patches
stuck to you even if they are small.

I often wear my pods on the back of my arm. And they're big. I've just
gotten used to having things stuck to my body in various places. But I've
never varied the placement of my Dexcom. I know that's the first question
they ask if we're having a problem. Not sure what I'd do with the Libre.

Sorry, for me, it's more the aesthetics of it, not the functionality of the
placement. I often wear shorter sleeves or sleevless tops this time of year
or fitted sleeves, and I feel like it would be more prevalent. At least with
Dexcom, it's on my abs or obliques and easier to cover up even if wearin a
more fitted top or dress.

I agree. If I am careful I almost never have a problem. It is a place where
it is mostly not a problem.

This is Gary. I wear it there, and I find it out of the way.

Do you still have to wear the Libre sensor on the back of the arm? I don't
think I would like that.

-----Original Message-----thast correct. I used to be on dexcom and had
issues as well and then for my renewal year being denied by my insurance
provider and the crazy co pays of $350 every so often, that co pay out
of pocket is what caused me ot look for alternatives . As I decided to
take a look at the freestyle libre system. All the senssors last 14
days and they are well designed and do the job . now when the second gen
comes out with thealarms and alerts I wil lbea very happy camper.
