Nope, they are people who have ttried them in other areas.abbatts whole
position is to stick it on the back of the arm.i don’t know why that is
the case. But I will ask them if its possible ot do it on other aspects of
the boddy.

Gary, do these videos come from Abbott? Or are they individuals who are
doing this? I know there are tons of videos out there for placing the Dexcom
sensor in other places, how to extend sensor life and the like. But they
don't come from Dexcom. I usually stick pretty close to the instructions
from those who made the product, so just wondering.

I just posteda few you tube videos on that . Most that I have seen
recommend the tummy, as well as legs and thie areas. The leg an thie areas
have seen the best result after the back of the arm. These are the ones
hat I have sen an hey ar diabetic users of the freestyle libre system.

That's new Gary. I know the Abbott Company specifically said it was only
approved for the back of the arm. Would love to see the info you found.

No, you can place it where ever you are confortable.that is one place
that I have seen people put it as well as other parts of the body.its
recommended behind the arm but that is not where most put it .it just
depends on where you r confortable with it.i will find a youtube video on
that .as I recall there are different parts of the boddy that the libre
sennssor works like the dexcom senssors.

Do you still have to wear the Libre sensor on the back of the arm? I don't
think I would like that.

-----Original Message-----thast correct. I used to be on dexcom and had
issues as well and then for my renewal year being denied by my insurance
provider and the crazy co pays of $350 every so often, that co pay out
of pocket is what caused me ot look for alternatives . As I decided to
take a look at the freestyle libre system. All the senssors last 14
days and they are well designed and do the job . now when the second gen
comes out with thealarms and alerts I wil lbea very happy camper.
