The link posted is split between two lines. When it is repaired, this link is talking about Extended release Metformin with no problem found in Immediate release metformin which is the most common type prescribed. And, even for those people taking the affected type, the advice is to continue taking it unless your doctor says otherwise and physicians should continue prescribing. It is a level of a chemical they are watching.
