Gary, that is why I haven't asked for the change. Sorry that happened to
you.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] re freestyle libre 2

Hello I was just prescribed the freestyle libre 2. When I contactted Abbot
erlier , they said that their app is waiting FDA approval, and no idea
when that will be out.so I then contacted my endo to have him change the
prescription back to libre 1 from libre 2 as there is no app for us blind
users to use with our Apple I OS or android devices. If any one else is
prescribed the libre2, have their doctor change to libre 1 so that they
don't end up in the mess ai had to go through earlier today. Don't get
why they put out a product without any thought to an app.in modern times
all cgm use apps and not the readers.i know hat with the dexcom they make
you get the reader but her is an app and the app does nto change hat much
with update version of their app withehte operating system of he smart
phones dotn get why abbot could not have built all this into the freestyle
libre app and then gotten all the approvals hathey needed instead of going
through he messy process thathey arare going through giving aa new product
with a reader but no app and your stuck out of luck .
