[Diabetes-Talk] Accurate, accessible glucose meters?

I have never had good luck with the Prodigy Voice. I have seen my numbers be as much as 150 points off. And yes, it could be the strips. The only way to know for sure is to buy some new ones and then you could compare readings. But it really is very easy to get not enough blood in those strips. Good luck.

I spoke to my doctor last week and he adjusted my metformin from 1000 MG a day to 2000. Back in June my a1c was 9. I have an appointment next month. I will contact him about adjusting that. As for the machine, I have had it for about 5 to 6 years. It is a Prodigy Voice, a detail I neglected to mention.
