[Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom clarity and codes for the endo.

Actually, there are two ways to share Dexcom data with your doc. From the Clarity app, you can put in the request from your doc, or you can generate a code which you send to your doc. When you generate the code, you decide how long it is good. I choose a year so I don't have to think about it. It's in the summary section under "authorize share". It's just that the "authorize share" button didn't appear so I thought they'd gotten rid of it. But it eventually turned up.
Thanks for the response.

Veronica,

My doctor views my Dexcom stuff and she started it in August. I’m not sure how long its good for, but I’ll find out for sure next week when I see her.

In any case, She had to send me an email requesting I allow her to share/view my Dexcom info. I had to open the email and lick on some kind of link that I seem to remember brought me to my Dexcom account and I think it was a matter of my approving her either sharing or viewing my info. I did need my user id & password to sign in to Clarity.

Not sure this is very helpful, but I hope it is. Your Doc has to initiate a request to share data that is yours and you will receive an email message.

Eileen

Hi everyone.
Okay, it's a race. I'm sitting here on hold and getting very bored so I
thought I'd see if one of you had this answer. Usually I go into the Clarity
app and get a code, which I then send to my endo so she can see my Dexcom
data. But for the life of me I can't find it. I make it good for a year so
it's been a while since I've been in here. It's not sharing because that's a
follower, which is not what I want. It used to be so easy. Any of you done
this recently? Thanks.
Veronica
