[Diabetes-Talk] re libre 2

I know several people who say that for them, the Libre does not perform as well when the readings are low. I have always heard it wasn't as accurate, but I have not used it so have no first hand knowledge. It's certainly possible that things improve with version 2. I am glad to see that they are adding ability to set alarms for highs and lows. I also find that sending your status to your healthcare people goes much easier with Dexcom. I do like the fact that with the Dexcom, the readings are automatically taken and recorded. I don't have to scan the sensor to get the readings. But then, I'm happy as a lazy person. <grin.>
But the truth is, anything we do that allows us to follow trends and notice if we're climbing or dropping is a good thing. No matter what diabetes management gear we use, there should be choices. Over time I suspect that everyone will catch up to everyone else. The other difference is that some of the pump companies are pairing with Dexcom and it is automatically entered into the pump, causing the pump to automatically respond by giving additional insulin or stopping briefly. Oh wait! Most of those aren't accessible to us yet. So Dexcom is further along in the arena.
That's what I can think of, for now.

What makes the Libre line inferior to the Dexcom? I thought they both performed equally as well.
