That’s not true. I have accurate readings comparing my meter to my first gen libre, its within a few point of my meter.its not off at all. Just like tony. I will let you know how the libre 2 does as I will be getting it next time I do my refill.

I have the first one and I've found that if you just get up in the morning from laying on it, give it about 3 minutes before reading or it will be off. Other than that, I've found them to be pretty close to a finger stick reading and when it is in doubt it tells you to do a finger stick to be sure.

Take care,
Tony

It's certainly possible that things improve with version 2. I am glad to see that they are adding ability to set alarms for highs and lows. I also find that sending your status to your healthcare people goes much easier with Dexcom. I do like the fact that with the Dexcom, the readings are automatically taken and recorded. I don't have to scan the sensor to get the readings. But then, I'm happy as a lazy person. <grin.> But the truth is, anything we do that allows us to follow trends and notice if we're climbing or dropping is a good thing. No matter what diabetes management gear we use, there should be choices. Over time I suspect that everyone will catch up to everyone else. The other difference is that some of the pump companies are pairing with Dexcom and it is automatically entered into the pump, causing the pump to automatically respond by giving additional insulin or stopping briefly. Oh wait! Most of those aren't accessible to us yet. So Dexcom is further along in the arena.
