Good morning everyone,

I had a doctor visit last Thursday and was told that my A1C was normal so I am not a diabetic. My sugar has risen slightly in the past but usually returns to its normal level.

As for green tea we order it through our business. It's delivered along with our other items so no need to hunt it down.

In addition to drinking it hot we make a drink made of part green tea and part lemon aid called an "Arnold Palmer." As we understand it this mixture of iced tea and lemon aid was a favorite of golf legend the late Arnold Palmer. We make it by placing 4 to 6 green tea bags in a coffee basket and brewing it like it was a pot of coffee. Next we poor a half-gallon of lemon aid into a gallon size pitcher. When the green tea is done brewing we poor it into the pitcher with the lemon aid and let it chill for several hours. You can add additional sugar or a sugar substitute to sweaten it a little more but if sugar is an issue using a sugar substitute, a sugar free or low sugar lemon aid would be recommended. Here in South Texas a cold glass of Arnold Palmer is very refreshing. It also goes well with many entrees. Enjoy.

I know there is some out there, but I have found if people are helping me with finding it sometimes I get the wrong one, and I am not sure what the situation is in that case. I don't get it any more as that happened to me once and my numbers were out of control for a while. I may try looking again.

Jeanette,

Walmart has diet Arizona green tea with ginseng that is really good. That is what I drink. I agree that most bottled tea is very high in sugar, so I was glad to find this diet Arizona one.

Avoid Arizona and Lipton bottles, as they tend to be very high in sugar. I use green tea teabags all the time, sometimes stop & Shop brand, sometim S other brands. They are less acidy than regular tea, and they will help you feel full. A great substitute for water, and wonderful on a cold damp day.

Such as, Arizona, and Lipton. But I was thinking I might want to avoid those two. I wasn't too sure though. So I thought I would ask here.

In another week we will re-evaluate the situation, and go from there. If it needs to be lowered again, then we will lower it by 4 more units. This is just wonderful!
