Hello Veronica, thank you for sharing. I do not know a great deal about pumps, but would like to learn more from all of you who use pumps. I am insulin dependent . The about the only thing I know is that they are not accessible to the totally blind.
Thanks so much for any info you can share.
Debbie

Just in case any of you are curious but haven't followed articles, I found the answer to my questions. Lyumjev and Fiasp are not yet approved for use in insulin pumps. The Current thinking is that Lyumjev looks as though it might be more stabile in pumps.
Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Wow! All I can say is, I want to be in that focus group or committee that comes up with all of these weird names for things. I'm kind of chuckling just thinking of the number of people that will actually remember this name when they reorder insulin. What do you think? The companies should be required to run the names of their products through our speech synthesizers and see if they pass the pronunciation test? Hey, some of us are easily entertained. <grin.> Veronica

Wrong, Pharmacies make so very little. It is the manufacturer and the distributors that make the money... Pharmacies do make very little off of sales...

Actually, they're designed to make money for the pharmaceutical industry.

Patricia. All of these new insulins , are designed to keep glucose levels in a fluid curve so there wont be any highs or lows.

I did try the other super fast acting insulin called Fiasp For three weeks in my pump and there there was no problem with my pump. This insulin didn’t seem to work any faster although it did tend to keep my sugars more level until the next meal but I didn’t find it any great advantage so did not get any more of it.
