David,

I would accept the Prodigy Autocode since that meter uses the same strips as the Prodigy Voice from Amazon. The only thing that is accessible with the AutoCode is that it will speak your current reading with absolutely no access to any of the other features like setting, memory like past readings and averages. meter so your strips should be covered by your insurance then purchase the Prodigy from Amazon.
