Hello Jessica, I started using Dexcom because I really had a hard time not
smearing the blood so I would get an error. I'm not sure if you are aware
that tests strips have an expiration date which you aren't supposed to use
them after that date.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Getting Blood On The Strip And Also Using Libre 2
Hello,
First, thanks for all the support I got last week. I got a meter, strips,
lances, and all that stuff. I actually got the meter from a friend brand new
that talks that they never used by FORA and my store helped me pick out the
one-touch Delica lancet and lances. I finally after so many trials got blood
coming from my finger after figuring out what setting but I can not for the
life of me get it on the strip.
I try and try but I either put it to far up the strip or kind of smear it
on. So many of my friends just use the Libre 2. Am I wrong if I just try
that instead? Do others have a hard time with the pricking and find that
works better? My insurance will not pay for it because I am not on Insolin
yet but I think I can swing the sensors myself each month now that I am not
drinking anymore on my new medicine haha.
Probably an amazing thing and a positive one for me I am sure. How many here
use the Libre and is it complicated to get going yourself? I finally started
tracking all my food and I am a week in on my medicine. No real side effects
except I go a lot ha. My DR. said that could be one of the only bad things
so we will see. You guys are awesome and very supportive.
