Hello Diabetes Education Group:
My name is Stacie Leap. I have been subscribed to the list for some time
but just stay behind reading all the amazing resources you offer each
other.
I would like some assistance. I volunteer for an organization that is
planning to have an event in November in honor of World Diabetes Day. The
name of the organization is "Eyes Like Mine, Inc." We were looking for
blind or visually impaired people to come and discuss how they manage their
diabetes routine. Would anybody be interested? The event will be on Zoom on
Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm EST. This will be a
volunteer opportunity.
We were also looking for resources from agencies or organizations that work
with those who are diagnosed with diabetes. Some of it includes having the
companies who make the talking and accessible diabetes equipment come out
and do a demonstration. Can you all let me know of the names of such
companies and agencies?

I myself am a Type One Diabetic but I am not as resourceful as an entire
listserv. :)

*I am also copying the CEO of the nonprofit I am volunteering for: Eyes
Like Mine, Inc. If you need more information, please contact her or myself
off the list. My phone number is 215-776-6741 and my volunteer email is
sleap at eyeslikemine.org <sleap at eyeslikemine.org> *

*Thank you! Stacie Leap, CPE, CPS*
