I have used the overlay patches but I don't use them unless the tape isn't
sticking very well. I always put the sensor on and then put the over lay
patch over the sensor because I don't know how you would make the sensor go
through the hole in the over lay.

Dar, this is new to me. I forget, are you using the G6? The only thing I've
heard of is people getting allergic reactions to tape and actually spraying
things like Flonase on the skin first, saying that it helped. But obviously
I know nothing of your exact situation. With the G6, I actually stopped
using the overlays because the regular tape stuck just fine for me. I am
curious about this patch you're supposed to put under the sensor. I hope it
has a hole for the sensor to go through. I'd be worried that once I put a
first patch down, I wouldn't necessarily insert the sensor in exactly the
right place. Yikes! But in my world, I hope they don't change the tape.
Omnipod did change theirs, and a bunch of us are having issues with the tape
holding the cannulas in place. Sure seems like we just can't win with this
stuff. Please keep us posted.

Hi there,
I just got back from my doctor who is sending over patches for me to put
down first, Then the dexcom and then the patch that goes around the sencer I
think it is.
Something has changed where my skin isn't liking it and causing sores.
So far they are not infected, that is good.
I put stuff on it so it will heal.
I will have to write down what it is because the name is new to me.
Now I have the wide patches that I used to use for the libra, I am wondering
if this would work as well.
the doctor said he is going to call the dexcom company sharing that people
are coming in with the sores.
They need to change the tape so folks can use it.
