[Diabetes-Talk] negaderm patches

I have never wanted to try to put anything on top of my Dexcom sensor because, ya know, why make more potential trouble. <grin.>
But no way could I use it with my pods. They are big enough and tall enough that it would require a big piece of Tegaderm and I guarantee that would be a mess on a skinny arm.
I still alwways put my Dexcom sensor on my belly. It sticks well there, is very easy to put on and leaves my arms for, well, pods.

So is it OK to put the Tegaderm over the Dexcom sensor after the transmitter is inserted and in the case of the libre as it is all in one piece over the entire thing. Dexcom has said not to put any adhesive over the transmitter but I can’t see how that could possibly interfere with connectivity.

> Okay, I want to know how you keep a Tegaderm patch smooth on the back of your arm. I've used them on my belly and other places I can easily reach. But it takes me two hands to hold it. Omnipod has these patches called pod pals that are kind of like the Dexcom overlays, but not as well done. There are so many little pieces to peel off and the place where the hold is is such an exact tight fit that I gave up trying to use them. Again, back of my arm? Not a chance!
