Hi Paul,

After applying the new sensor, I suggest that you wait at least an hour then
do a calibration of the new sensor. You will need to prick your finger to
get some blood up and test with a talking glucameter and may have to do it
several times.

I'm not sure if you had to do that when you were using the G5.

This all sounds great!

Hi all,

Sorry for the long delay in getting back about the outcome, but it took a
whole lot longer for me to get the G6 then they had indicated.

Any way, I have now started with the first sensor, and it went well thanks
to your advice.

I was surprised how large the applicator was, but it is certainly easier to
handle than the G5. No more having to tell my fingers to continue pressing
in the insertion plunger, just pop and it was done! I almost didn't realise
it had happened. Smile.

When the warm up period was done, I waited a little while, and compared the
G6 reading to my meter. 148 on the G6, and 112 on the meter.

That seemed a little much, but when I looked on the web, a lot of people
commented that it can be out by a bit for the first day.

Thanks again for all your help,
Paul in Australia.
