I just had time to read this article found in my weekly Diatribe newsletter regarding the benefits and the frustrations of diabetes technology. It really helped validate the feelings that I have with loving all the wonderful benefits of all the diabetes technology and yet frequently being frustrated when they don’t work right and don’t provide all the benefits I would really like as well as they can be complicated and time-consuming. For me it’s sort of a love/hate relationship and I imagine a lot of you can relate to that so I am sharing this article. The article is written by a woman who has type 1 diabetes but people with type 2diabetes can certainly relate as well. I often feel that I have to use all the greatest and new technology but this woman found that she had to step back one step and simplify her life. Different things work for different people and there is no right or wrong.
I really recommend the Diatribe newsletter which comes out weekly and keeps me really up-to-date on new things in the diabetes field. Their website also contains much educational information for reading on demand.
