Subject: conference letter

The board of the Diabetes Action Network believes the message we have to
give is so important that it is worthy of an in-person conference. Given the
pandemic, we are looking at the second or third weekend in September of
2023, to be held in Saint Louis, Missouri. The issue the board must hear
from you about is what it will take to get you to come, and can we count on
you? What speakers would you want to see? What exhibitors would you want to
have with us? Would you support a Friday evening, all day Saturday, and half
a day Sunday meeting? If not, what schedule would you suggest?

If we do this, we will need numbers in order to get good rates as well as
speakers. That this may be a good idea isn't good enough. It has to be good
enough that we will draw a crowd, it is worth having enough people to
interest a hotel, and having a substantial agenda that will make you feel
that the airfare, hotel and meals were worth it for what you learned.

Please write directly to me in response to this letter. My address is

debbiewunder at charter.net <mailto:debbiewunder at charter.net>

and in the subject line, please use the word

Conference

Warmly,

Debbie Wunder

Thank you.
