I got this information from my endo. And yes, the blue tooth transmitter is part of the sensor. And just for fun, I called Dexcom to see if I could swap the ones I had and they wouldn't do it. But hey, had to try. <grin> It is just a little frustrating that when I place my next order in August, there's no way to know whether or not I get the repaired ones. My endo said that she had the sense that by december or so, we'd all have the new sensors. My supplier is US Med. They're a pretty big company. But I don't have any way to know if that means they'll go through more sensors or if that they bought more in the beginning. <grin> I'm just happy that the current mess won't go on forever.

That is interesting that they had to do some redesign to the actual sensors themselves to solve this problem. Did you get this report from your Endo or is there an online source explaining how they solve this problem?
