[Diabetes-Talk] dexcom g seven

I also haven't had any problem skipping the overpatch. As for the blue tooth, I'm seeing complaints all over the place about this. My endo has had many people switch to the Libre because of this problem. Dexcom acknowledges this problem as well. It is driving me crazy. My endo is telling people that the only difference between the Dexcom and the Libre right now is that you can calibrate the Dexcom and you cannot calibrate the Libre.

I only have a problem with Bluetooth when I get more than about 20 feet away from but if I do it always reconnects just fine. As far as the patch goes I just don't put one on and I haven't had a problem it even comes through the shower ok.

Two things here.
First, they want us to put this one on the back of the arm. Mine wasn't very accurate there so they told me to go back to my belly, which is what I did with the G6. It's very small and I wouldn't think it would be easily knocked off. They make a big fuss about it being necessary to use their overpatch. What a joke! I couldn't get the backing off without pulling an extra layer off. I asked tech support if they could send me a couple practice ones. Their answer, no. Nobody can get these on and they'll be redoing them. That made me feel better. Mine have stayed on, no problem so far.
As for getting the readings to your doctor, do you have the Dexcom Clarity app? If you get it, you can go in there, choose share, then get a code, which you give to your doctor. You decide how long it lasts. Once the doctor has your code, he or she can see all of your readings. This is how I did it with the G5 and G6 as well.
The tech support person did not tell me when they'd fix the blue tooth. I do know that they've lost customers over this. I don't like it but I can understand how they'd miss or not test for a VoiceOver problem. But not catching a lousy blue tooth, the mind boggles.
In the meantime, I just keep checking the app store for updates. <grin> Veronica

I put it on the front or top of my let about a hands width above my knee and my doctor never asks for the readings but I could just show him or her my phone with the Dexcom app open and that would work.

I am still trying to get the pass word to say it knows me.
I thought maybe I would have to change it.
Also how did you learn how to put on the device.
I go on the 27th, where I think all the lady is going to do is start it.
When you say you put it on your leg, what part of the leg do you put it on.
Yes I would be concerned that I would knock it off my arm or it would be taken off by someone else.
Will the doctor see the readings?
