[Diabetes-Talk] Considering changing from Dexcom G6 to the Libre...

I can only speak about my experience, Paul, I am using the Libre III and so
far the reliability has been excellent. Unlike the Libre, the original one,
these sensors for the Libre III are smaller. I have not had an issue with
them dislodging or failing. Abbot has been good about replacing those that
fail, however, installing a sensor is so simple that if I were really afraid
I would carry an extra with me.

I wish you luck in your decision-making.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Considering changing from Dexcom G6 to the Libre...

Hi all,

I like the way the Dexcom G6 works, but am becoming annoyed at it's lack of
reliability.

The last 3 sensors have not lasted the full 10 days, with 2 lasting only 8
days, and the last one only 6 days. Dexcom has been happy to replace them,
but I worry that one may fail when I cant get back home to change it, and
going through the understandable Dexcom questionair on the phone each time
adds to the annoyance.

So, 2 questions:

Is the G7 more reliable, that I might wait for that, even though Dexcom can
not advise when the G7 will be available here?

Is the Libre system more reliable, as I tire of changing sensors more than I
should need to.

With appreciation,
Paul in Australia.
