Hi all,
Perhaps some already know of this, or perhaps there is a better way, but I
have found a way of getting some info from the trend graph on my iPhone.
On the settings page of Dexcom, check the item called, Use Apple health.
Somewhere I read that it takes about 3 hours for the data to go through to
the health app, so I waited till the next day to go into the health app, as
I was only interested in my readings through the night.
I cant remember whether I had previously done any setting up of the health
app, but on the summary tab it showed, Blood Glucose, so I double tapped
that.
On the following screen, you can select the period to display, day, week
month etc, and below that glucose ranges for that period will display.
If you select day, then the below display shows your glucose ranges for each
hour for the previous day.
I found it very useful to know how high or low I went through the night,
even if it is in hourly blocks rather than 5 minutes.
The latest data seems to never be later than 3 hours prior to the current
time, so checking first thing in the morning misses the last few hours.
That seems to be a strange decision by Dexcom or Apple, because the data is
on the same device, so no transfer delay?
Hope this helps,
Paul in Australia.
