Actually, I think the big boys like American Diabetes Association, whatever JDRF is called now, and members of the ADCES ought to speak out on this one. This isn't really an accessibility issue but a mess for everyone. I suspect they're already getting many ears full.
I already wrote to them suggesting that they'd lose less money if they just gave out one extra per shipment like their competition does.

O when you run into this issue.you have run out of your 3 replacements so you will be sstuck out of luck for 90 days .no means of random checks unless your pay for extra sensor out of pocket.let se how long this process will go for you but it’s the job of these companies to do a better job with their manufacturing processes and have better total quality control checks an balances in place . They should be testing the sensor for any failure points as they come off the supply chain . sorry but not buying that bs policy that the insurance providers put this in place.so if I need to get extra sensors due to failure and I have to pay extra out of pocket.who thought up a stupid policy like this I wonder. .

Hello Listers,
I got a notice from my Dexcom G7 supplier via email and there was a link to read the new policy about sensor replacement, and it sounds like it is not a decision of Dexcom but Medicare. It also sounds like it is an across the board policy whether you are having payment processed by Medicare or not.

Its bs withteh replacement policy.if it fails nota fault of the users.the company should stand behind its product and give the user the replacement no matter what the cause or fault was . that is what I like about abbot, no questions asked, they will give a replacement at any time .the price between the libre 3 an the dexcom g7 is about the same, so there should not be any questions about the replacement policy. I se it as greeddy profit from Dexcom and nothing else.i have seen different forums that a lot of these loyal Dexcom users are unhappy with the 3replacemtn policy per 90 days, will be jumping ship when they find a product better then Dexcom.this one thing that the diabetes action community needs to advicate for the Dexcom user who will get shafted in different use case and situations for Dexcom sensor replacements, where they need more then that 3 stupid replacement policy per 90 days.

I agree with you about them just being a little bit more mindful and giving an extra every 90 days. I just had one fail today and I'm already dreading the process of having to justify why it needs to be replaced.
