Have been successfully using the G7 as soon as it was available to Tandem IQ
pump users.

Choose to use a vetted system, AIRA, for sensitive medical access. Use
seeing AI successfully for codes such as Dexcom which I enter manually on
iPhone, but not flat screens that need active participation like my pump.

Have been very successful with this process since I chose to use Tandem IQ
almost 4 years ago, with my old Roche pump no longer in circulation and out
of warranty. It had been a successful pump without sighted assistance for
over 20 years except setting basal rates initially.

My husband and I have no useable sight, and we have no sighted family living
near by. Rarely use friends and neighbors living in an apartment complex,
have chosen to learned how to use pump with AIRA as my primary system of
access. Chosen to be in charge and give directions to manage and be
informed about my diabetic management and treatment whether accessible or
not. Have learned to use the flat screen on my Tandem IQ to unlock screen,
clear alarms etc. Generally know where next steps will be on pump when using
AIRA or sighted assistance, But without assistance, can't do much more as it
is menu driven.

Not afraid to ask strangers in a pinch, for sighted assistance, but use AIRA
primarily day to day when needed, on occasion family or friends if they are
around.

Aloha, Katie

Is anyone using the Dexcom G7 sensor with their tandem pump? My Endo gave me
a sample to try and I was easily able to set up the G7 app and start the new
sensor from the phone but even though I had my pump set for the G7 sensor,
the readings did not automatically Start showing on my pump. The only way I
could get it to do that was to have my husband go into the pump and also
start the sensor from there. This does not allow me to independently start a
new sensor and have it pair with my pump so that control IQ will be active
and the pump will work in the automated mode that it is designed to do. Is
anyone else using the new G7 with their tandem pump and have you found a
way to get it started without cited assistance?
Patricia.

Let us know. The reason why Omnipod 5 has not yet integrated with dexcom g7
is that they have to redesign the pods to work with dexcom g7. That is the
delay on that one.
