The Dexcom G7 15 Day continuous glucose monitor has been approved in the U.S. for adults aged 18 years and over with all types of diabetes. The 15 Day CGM features fewer sensor changes and improved accuracy, and will be available in the second half of this year.

After ending the VX-264 trial, which used a device to protect lab-grown islet cells, Vertex will continue research on therapies with and without the need for immunosuppressive drugs. They are currently recruiting for their zimislecel (formerly VX-880) trial, which shows promise as a functional “cure” for type 1 diabetes.
