[Diabetes-Talk] First time flying with Dexcom G6, and getting through security scanning...

Hi all,

Last time I flew was before I got Dexcom, but I remember how busy and
pressured the people doing the scanning were, and how much like robots they
had to be, and that made seeking any assistance difficult. They even took
my white cane from me while I walked through the scanner.

In a few weeks I am flying interstate, and will need to take a couple of
spare sensors.

To avoid damage from the scanning equipment, the Dexcom user manual says
that I should ask for a "wand scan", and that my spare sensors should not
go through the baggage scanner!

How do others deal with this situation when you get to the security check in
section?

Of course, I cant watch whether they even listened to me, and still want to
put the sensors through the baggage scanner.

I would appreciate any advice or tips you can offer!

With many thanks
Paul in Australia.
