*Hi Veronica,*
*Some people develop diabetes over years, and others in days to weeks. *
*An A1C of 6.2, is above the "normal" range. Eating well doesn't just
pertain to those with diabetes. Recommended "diets" (meal plans) include
The Mediterranean Diet, The DASH diet, and a Vegetarian diet. Some follow a
low-carb diet, but it may not be so healthy for your heart. Diabetes
management is much more than following a healthy diet. If you know your A1C
then they can refer you to a CDCES- certified diabetes care and education
specialist who can help you. *
*Diabetes is an illness with serious long-term complications, but
management doesn't preclude living a healthy life. *
*Might you feel better taking better care of yourself whether you consider
yourself to have diabetes or not?*
*Take care,*
*Jane Ferguson*
