Hello List Members:

In looking at both programs I thought that speakers were great!

I think we need to hear from diabetes Educators and find diabetes educators
that know how to work with blind people.

We need to hear from the TaskForce that/Advisory group that is following the
different pump manufacturers and their progress in making pumps accessible
for the blind, and their apps.

We also need to hear from Libra and Dexcom on their products for monitoring
our glucose, their app and devices.

We need to hear from those that know what works best.

The Diabetes Action Network needs to send a couple of people to a conference
to speak to Diabetes Educators on how they best can help blind indivisuals
in learning how to use the pump and glucose monitoring devices.

In the future I think some of these topics would be good just on a Zoom call
and the program be recorded and made available after the session.

Personally at this time for me, being on dialysis it would be difficult to
travel for an in-person meeting or even attending the national convention as
I would be missing out on many of the activities. The annual convention can
maybe focus on other things and having the annual business meeting.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] What do you want in a Knowledge is Sweet Seminar

On behalf of the Diabetes Action Network Board of Directors, I've been asked
to send along the two agendas we have used in the 2024 and 2025 seminars.
Please look these over and tell us what you want to see that would be enough
to get your attendance.
Please be creative. What vital presentations are we missing? What should we
be asking to inform our community? Are you more interested in an in-person
event or one that is done virtually? Will the time of year influence whether
or not you will attend?

Please reply to the list with the subject Knowledge is Sweet.

Thank you.

Gary Wunder
