I will wait til the time comes to go to the 15 day dexcom g7 or whatever it will be called. Will give it time to be tested and refined in the marketplace in real world situations, before taking the plunge into the 15 dexcom g7 or whatever it will be called journey.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Availability of Dexcom expedited replacements in case you run out
I was just listening to this last week’s episode of the Diabetech podcast. He was interviewing the CEO of Dexcom on a variety of issues but one thing they discussed was if the last sensor that you have fails and even if you call it will take several days for the replacement to arrive. The CEO said that when you call for your replacement in this situation to tell them that you have no more on hand and they can either expedite your mailed replacement or email you a QR code that you can then take to a local pharmacy that carries the sensors for a free immediate replacement. I was not aware of this policy and thought it would be of interest to the group. he also indicated that there is no limit to the number of replacements that you can be sent if it is due to a sensor failure. The new 15 day sensor they have developed will be released later this year, but for some people they may not last the full 15 days and replacements will be available.
